Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab's death sentence upheld by Bombay High Court

Bombay High Court has today upheld the death sentence of Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab, the lone surviving terrorist for his role in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.

10 Pakistani terrorists had entered Mumbai on 26/11/2008 and unleashed at terror attack that shook the nation and had left 166 people dead.

Kasab was tha only pertetrator to be captured alive. He was tried in a special anti-terror court that had on 6 May 2010 pronounced a death sentence for him.

Kasab had appealed in Bombay High Court against the verdict, which has today been turned down by the High Court. The judges of the High Court hearing the case observed that Kasab was directly responsible for the deaths of seven people on that fateful night.

Kasab was not brought to the court today for his hearing. He attended via a video conference link from Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail.
