Other forms of public transport avaialble for travelling within the city are cycle-rickshaws,
auto-rickshaws, tongas (horse-carts) and private taxis.
Cycle-rickshaws are generally available from anywhere in the city. They are the
most accessible form of public transport.
Auto-rickshaws are mainly available at important locations in the city - like railway
station, bus stand, main chowks and offices. Some also ply in a share-a-ride mode
between the main locations.
The number of tangas plying in the city are ever reducing, but they can still be
seen running on the trunk routes in the city. They generally seat passengers on
a share-a-ride basis.
Private taxis are available in all shapes and sizes - from luxury sedans to simple
SUVs. They may be booked before hand through any of taxi operators in town or may
be hired from their prominent standing place near bus stand.
